The Omaha World-Herald has endorsed U.S. Rep. Lee Terry in the upcoming May 15 primary, saying he “forcefully articulates” the need for reduced federal spending.

The editorial also said Terry “has developed expertise on telecommunications, energy policy and cyber-security.  He has worked across the partisan aisle with Democratic lawmakers on energy-policy bills.”

The paper’s editorial also took note of Terry’s leadership on “the needs of the VA Medical Center in Omaha” and said he “spoke knowledgeably about a variety of issues, from the Middle East to energy independence to immigration.”

The campaign also received two key endorsements from respected organizations in Nebraska.   Nebraska Right to Life has given U.S. Rep. Lee Terry its sole endorsement in the 2nd district congressional race.

The group is the official state affiliate of National Right to Life and has thousands of members in the greater Omaha area. They noted Terry’s consistent support for pro-life legislation in Congress.

The Nebraska Farm Bureau Federation has also endorsed Congressman Terry saying he “has worked hard on behalf of farmers and all citizens of the district.”
