Lee Terry Banks $648,000 for Congressional Race

Congressman's campaign raises $273,000 during 1st Quarter of 2004

U.S. Rep. Lee Terry’s campaign is reporting $648,000 in cash-on-hand in their April 15th filing with the Federal Election Commission.

“We are very pleased to report the campaign has banked $648,000. This will enable us to take the congressman’s message to all the voters of Nebraska’s second district,” said David Boomer, Terry’s campaign manager.

During the past quarter, Terry’s campaign raised $273,000 and spent $67,000.

The FEC report covers receipts and expenditures for the period of January 1, 2004 through March 31, 2004.

For the entire 2004 campaign cycle, Terry’s campaign has raised $706,000 and spent $272,000. Surplus funds from the prior election cycle of approximately $215,000 were transferred to the current account early in 2003.

Terry’s report was filed electronically today with the Federal Election Commission in Washington, D.C.
