OMAHA, Neb. (AP) - A spokeswoman for the National Republican Congressional Committee says she's confident that Nebraska's Republican incumbents will still have their House seats after the general election in November.
Julie Shutley says the group watches all House races to gauge what support is needed, and she anticipates no problems for Lee Terry, who's seeking his sixth term representing the 2nd Congressional District.
Terry will again face Democrat Jim Esch, who almost upset Terry in 2006.
Shutley says Terry, along with incumbents Jeff Fortenberry in the 1st and Adrian Smith in the 3rd, have done their jobs in Washington, and voters will support them for that.
