JOB CREATORS AND VETERANS SUPPORT LEE TERRY
Tuesday, October 26, 2010
The Terry for Congress campaign announced the endorsement of two key business organizations today as well as a political action committee representing millions of veterans who served the nation during times of war.
· The Chamber of Commerce of the United States of America endorsed U.S. Rep. Lee Terry due to his record of supporting legislation that “encourages economic growth, job creation, and a less intrusive federal government.” The U.S. Chamber represents more than three million businesses and organizations.
· The National Federation of Independent Business SAFE Trust endorses Terry and said his reelection “is not only critical to the small-business owners” but to “protecting free enterprise across America.” The Save America’s Free Enterprise Trust is the political arm of NFIB, the nation’s largest small business group.
· The Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States Political Action Committee endorses Rep. Lee Terry because of his “strong support for veterans, national security and defense, and military personnel issues.” The VFW is comprised of 2.1 million members across the nation.
“I am honored to be endorsed by groups that create jobs and support the needs of veterans who have served our nation during times of war,” Terry said. “The U.S. Chamber, NFIB and the VFW-PAC have reviewed the qualifications and positions of both candidates in this race. I am honored that all three groups are supporting me.”
