OMAHA, NE (kios) - The Republican candidate for the Second Congressional District says policies are hurting job creation in Nebraska and elsewhere.

Congressman Lee Terry is seeking another term in the U.S. House. Terry was first elected as Second District Congressman in 1998. He says both Congress and the administration must have a positive attitude about job creation and end certain policies. "The stimulus package, cap and trade, the health care bill all creates a level of uncertainty that's ruining our ability to create jobs," he says.

Terry says support for manufacturing is critical to job creation. He says controlling spending and the national debt will also encourage employers to create more jobs.

His opponent in the Second Congressional District race is Democrat State Senator Tom White. The election is November second.
