Democrat, pro-life activist: RITA HEJKAL APPOINTED CO-CHAIR OF TERRY CAMPAIGN

U.S. Rep. Lee Terry has reached into the Democratic party for his second co-chair of the 2010 campaign, tapping Rita Redding Hejkal, a well-known pro-life activist in the metropolitan area and registered Democrat, for the position.
“I am delighted that Rita will take on the key position of campaign co-chair,” Terry said. “She has an incredible network of friends and colleagues throughout the metropolitan area who care about changing the course our country is now on.”
Hejkal will join Richard Carter, the campaign’s other co-chair, as a key advisor to the campaign.
Terry also said Hejkal will head the campaign’s pro-life coalition.
“I will work hard to spread the message throughout the Second District that pro-life voters should support Lee Terry for Congress,” Hejkal said. “Tom White’s support for Obamacare, which provides taxpayer funding of abortion, is just one of his disqualifications for public office.”
Hejkal has been married for 37 years to Dr. Tom Hejkal, an ophthalmologist. They have four children: Joe, Monica, and John Hejkal and Anna Dendinger. The Hejkal’s have lived in Omaha for 25 years and are active in the Catholic Church and pro-life causes.
