BY: Corey Hicks

Hi my name is Corey Hicks and I am a senior at Creighton University.  I am studying Biology and plan to go to dental school next year.  I am a member of Creighton University's Rugby team.

I do not have a lot of experience in politics, but I joined the Congressman’s campaign because I strongly believed in the issues Lee Terry supports.  I think that the most important issue facing this country is the unification of both liberals and conservatives in order to insure the prosperity of this nation.

During a vacation in Honduras, I was bit rather badly on the shoulder by a parrot and ever since I have had a bird target on my back.  One time while out walking door to door for the campaign, I rang the door bell at a voter’s house and a bird flew out of the mail box and collided with my face!  Another time a woman answered the door with a parrot on her shoulder that continually said, “I don’t know,” through the entirety of my stay.  Put it simply… I am now afraid of birds.

I hope to see you on the campaign trail!

BY: Andrew Northwall

My name is Andrew Northwall and I am currently pursuing a degree in political science at University of Nebraska at Omaha. I chair the UNO College republicans, work with accountability of our student government, as well as many community projects in the Omaha area.

I have been involved with Nebraska politics for some time now. In the future I plan to continue to continue to work in politics, possibly run for a higher public office, and help out in the community as much as possible.

I am drawn to work with Congressman Lee Terry because he is a cut above the rest. From his common sense approach to his work in congress, as well as his work on energy issues, has made him a congressman I am truly proud of.

Watching Lee work with the people of the Second Congressional District has been truly inspiring. At the end of the day, Lee is just like one of us. He gets frustrated when paying at the pump, sees the higher food costs, and experiences issues that are close to Nebraskans first hand. This is why I believe Congressman Lee Terry can provide the RIGHT kind of change for Nebraska Families.

BY: Jessica Chizek

My name is Jessica Chizek and I just recently graduated from Dana College in Blair, Nebraska. My career goals are to become a constitutional lawyer and eventually enter politics. I am currently serving as a Field Representative for Lee Terry for Congress. My interest in politics grew into a passion during my college years. I served as president of Dana College Republicans for two years.

My work with the College Republicans led me to a position on Congressman Terry’s 2006 re-election campaign. After the election, I interned in his Washington, D.C. office.

I believe Congressman Lee Terry sets a standard for politicians. He truly cares about his constituents and doing the right thing, which is why I have returned to his campaign.

My name is Lauren Steier and I am currently the Deputy Field Director for Lee Terry for Congress. I have been involved with politics and the political process my entire life, starting as a volunteer before I could even walk!

I became a part of Congressman Terry's campaign when I was a financial intern at the age of sixteen. Since then I have served as a Field Representative and am currently the Deputy Field Director.

As a sophomore at Creighton University, I feel a pull to continue to be involved with the campaign to encourage other young voters to become involved. I feel strongly about getting others my age interested, and through working on this grassroots campaign, I know I am able to.

Our campaign is already in full swing and the excitement about the election is growing! We need all the help we can get from people like you! Whether it is walking, making phone calls, parades, or events we are always ready to have some fun! Please feel free to contact me at the campaign office at 402-691-0333 or via email at lauren@leeterry.com.

I look forward to working with you to reelect Congressman Terry so we can have Trusted Leadership for Nebraska Families!

Welcome to the new Lee Terry for Congress website! My name is Trinity Chappelear, and I am the Field Director for the campaign. I became involved in politics a few years ago as a volunteer, and before I knew it, I was asked to be part of a campaign staff where I assisted with fundraising events, and acted as the Faith-Based Coordinator. Before entering politics, I spent seven years working in fulltime worship ministry, and many more years as a volunteer. My husband Tom and I have three children who are now either in college or have graduated from college, which leaves me more time to play in the political world.

Now that you have heard about me, I want to hear from you. We have some fun opportunities coming up to help Congressman Terry. Saturday, May 3rd we will be walking in the Cinco de Mayo Parade, and Saturday, May 10th in the Florence Days Parade. If you are interested in helping with either parade, or with the campaign in any other way, please contact me at the office at 691-0333 or at trinity@leeterry.com.

I look forward to working with you to reelect Congressman Terry so we can have Trusted Leadership for Nebraska Families!
