“A” RATING FOR LEE TERRY BY AMERICANS FOR PROSPERITY
Wednesday, January 11th, 2012
Americans For Prosperity, a premier conservative grassroots organization with 1.8 million
members nationally, has given U.S. Rep. Lee Terry an “A” rating for his votes in 2011 to cut
spending and reduce the size and scope of the federal government.
AFP is devoted to the mission of promoting limited government and free markets and has
chapters in Nebraska and the other 49 states. The rating is based on key votes taken in the U.S.
House last year on appropriations and budget bills and issues pertaining to health care and job
creation.
Terry has also received a 92 percent rating from the American Conservative Union for his votes
to cut big government as well as another “A” rating on fiscal restraint, this time from the well-
respected Nebraska Taxpayers for Freedom.
Terry’s record includes voting 157 times over the past three years on the floor of the U.S. House
to cut spending. Had the U.S. Senate not blocked most of the bigger-ticket items, Terry’s votes
would mean the federal government would spend $7 trillion less over the next ten years than
currently slated.
